Dear Loving Brothers and Sisters,
Here, I would like to share with you some of our findings from my bible study group on the book of Philippians.
1. Paul wrote this letter to encourage and teach the Philippians believers (who were close to his heart) on Christian living.
2. Paul lived for Christ and in all that he did, he did with spiritual joy despite suffering in his flesh (2:17) being in partnership with Christ (4:13). But the joy is more overwhelming than the suffering in his flesh because he was totally dependent on Christ (4:19). Praise the Mighty and Living God.
3. Being like minded (2:2) and with a heavenly perspective (3:20), his humble mission on earth was to advance the gospel of Christ (1:18) and to help all believers to mature in Christ (1:24). He manages to do it through God's grace, and not through himself.
